Baby, I'm your National Anthem

Tank: Brandy Melville (American Vintage) | Shorts: American Apparel | Hat: H&M | Sandals: Birkenstocks | Flannel: F21| Bralette: Brandy Melville

I hope all you Americans had a great Fourth of July! I had an awesome day spending time with family and friends. I recently came back home to SoCal after a trip to Texas, so it was great being back in the perfect California weather. Now that Summer has officially started the girls and I will have much more time to work on the blog. So, apologies for the long hiatus.

Now, moving on to the outfit I wore for this occasion. I opted for my American flag tank from Brandy Melville because I mean what would be more appropriate? For bottoms I'm wearing my acid wash high-waisted shorts from American Apparel because they give a rustic appeal to the outfit and are super comfy. Birkenstocks are my current obsession because they're a great combo of cute and comfy. They're actually really popular right now and are sold out almost everywhere so if you want some, you should get on it soon. However, my Rainbows haven't been replaced, I still love them to death! I usually have issues with finding a nice hat that will rest on my head comfortably and won't block my line of sight, but this brown wool hat that I recently hauled from H&M is so light on my head and shades my face so perfectly. Finally, I didn't feel patriotic enough so I added a red, white and blue patterned flannel to complete the look.

I'll be leaving for the Caribbean in a couple weeks so look forward to some posts about that. Wishing you guys the best summer ever!

Polka-dot knotted tank: American Vintage $7

Gold V necklace: Brandy Melville $9

Hey ladies and/or gents! This post is way overdue, but I'm finally posting my haul! So I went a bit crazy at Brandy per usual and stocked up on tons of gold jewelrymy favorite. The first thing to catch my eye were the Yin and Yang rings. I've never seen any rings like them. They're so original and add a classy/edgy look to any outfit. The dainty arrow ring is super feminine and cute. These acid wash drawstring shorts are my current obsession. They're perfect to lounge in like PJ shorts or to wear out in public with a cheeky outfit. The drawstring is the highlight of the shorts and adds a subtle detail that makes them anything but ordinary. The cropped American flag tank and the polka dotted knotted tank were such a steal! I'm notorious for being an instinctive shopper and I usually spend more than I should which I have come to terms with, but I'm super proud of these two purchases. The shop that I bought them from was a vintage clothing store and had a huge selection of retro pieces from different brand names.
The triangle ring that I purchased from Urban outfitters is actually a little too big for me because I bought it online and couldn't try it on, but I just wear it on my thumb and it all works out fine. One finger that I never wear rings on is my pinky, so the peace ring that I got is the perfect solution. The Gold V necklace is such an abstract piece of jewelry that adds an artistic style to any outfit. The baby skin face primer is actually a product that I've been hearing a lot about and decided to test out. I can attest to all the hype. It really does smooth out your make-up and the packaging is absolutely adorable. NYX lip products are amazing! I always layer the plum lip liner, lip butter, and matte lip cream to make a velvety, vampy look. I always have an issue with looking too pale with my make-up and I couldn't decide if I needed a blush or a bronzer, so I opted for a blush and bronzer combo to add some color to my face. This elf compact is said to be a dupe of the NARS orgasm and for the price that I paid I think that it is a pretty good alternative.
I hope you all loved what I purchased because I know I do. Thanks for staying tuned and showing us support. We'll make sure to keep posting things that we hope you like. Also, don't forget that if you have any comments or concerns you can always email us. All the contact info should be in the "contact" tab. Alright, till next time loves.

You have cat to be kitten me right meow

Jacket: Forever 21 |  Muscle Tank: Urban Outfitters | Waxy Pants: H&M | Shoes: Gojane

Hi guys! So it's been awhile since my last post, but here is my outfit.

Acid wash is one of my favorite prints because its a perfect combo of edgy and laid back. This jean jacket can be pretty intimidating so to tone it down more I added this bright, psychedelic muscle tank with a huge cat face. The tank is a bit obnoxious and overly colorful, but I think that it makes a big statement and I really just like the fusion of colors. It looks like a rainbow just exploded on it. Now because the top half of my outfit is super busy, I decided to go all black on the bottom half to balance everything out. The waxy pants and boots add a classy touch to an otherwise juvenile outfit. I'm really into the cutout trend in fashion right now. That's why these boots have been my holy grail for shoes. They're so perfect. They can be worn casually or for more upscale events and the golden buckles give them that chunky look that I love so much on boots. The heel is super small which makes them extra comfortable. Waxy pants are also a class act. They give off an illusion of leather pants, but without the discomfort of leather. I didn't wear any jewelry because I didn't want to over-accessorize, especially since that bright tank is enough to carry the outfit.

So, there is my outfit. I hope you guys enjoyed it even though it is a bit outspoken.  Just remember to wear whatever the heck you want as long as it makes you happy. That's my motto. Aside from this, my life has been pretty hectic as of late. Midterms are just kicking my butt, but dressing well always gets me in a bubbly mood. I've been shopping a lot lately so be sure to see a HUGE haul from me soon!

Bad Blood

Maxi Skirt: Marshalls | Shirt: Zara | Beanie: American Apparel | Boots: H&M | Necklace: H&M | Rings: Brandy Melville and Forever21 | Sunglasses: Nordstrom | Clutch: H&M

I love how flowy and free maxi skirts can be. This one is actually a loan from Kim's closet. It has a slit that gives a sexy look as well as making it easy to walk. I'm really digging how a beanie can turn any outfit into a laid back casual look. I love the speckled print of this beanie and it's super soft and thick. The olive shirt added some suttle color to this gray scale outfit without standing out too much. I am in love with combat boots and the rugged look they add to any outfit. Today was a busy day at school and so this outfit was the perfect combination of comfy and stylish that helped me get through the day.

Meet Mags

Nickname: Mags

Hometown: Riverside, CA

Style: Grunge/ Indie/Boho

Favorite clothing item/accessory item(s): I love the rugged look that chunky boots give to any outfit. They're so comfy and edgy. Graphic tees are a must have, especially ones with silly sayings or psychedelic designs. Baggy sweaters just make everything feel soft and comforting. I'm not the type of girl to wear form-fitting clothing just because it makes me feel all confined. I love beanies! They're just so tomboy-ish and perfect for bad hair days. Gold necklaces are my absolute favorite jewelry item along with gold rings coming in a close second.

Interests: I love exercising. Some things I enjoy doing are swimming, yoga, kickboxing, etc. I am a huge advocate of living a healthy lifestyle. Cooking is one of my favorite things to do as well as blending smoothies and pressed juices.

Fun Fact: I have a fear of fruit. I know it sounds silly because I really enjoy smoothies, but I really dislike the texture and appearance of fruit. I try to avoid contact with it as much as possible. The only fruits I can somewhat tolerate are bananas and watermelon. I'm gradually trying to get over this ridiculous fear because I actually do enjoy the flavor of fruit, its just the texture that I'm not a fan of. I LOVE VEGGIES LOADS THOUGH!
